Chairman's Message

The Azim Premji Foundation recently conducted a survey on unemployment. The findings of this survey were widely discussed in the media. According to the report, nearly 67% of unemployed youth are graduates. This figure clearly shows the severity of the problem and its impact on society.

The main reason behind unemployment among graduates is not the lack of jobs, but the lack of employability skills. Many students complete their degrees, but they are not fully prepared to meet industry expectations. This leads to serious socio-economic challenges. Without a regular and respectable income, young people face financial difficulties. In many cases, especially for male graduates, marriage is delayed or becomes difficult, which further creates social concerns.

Understanding the importance of employability, our institution has taken early and continuous efforts in this direction. Since the inception of the college, we got included communication skills in the curriculum. We have also established a dedicated Training and Placement Cell to guide our students. The cell focuses on improving both technical skills and soft skills, which are essential for career success.

We have been always trying to identify industry-relevant skills. In the early years, we focused on specialized technologies like AS/400 Development and AS/400 Administration for our students. This helped our students gain a strong foundation and industry exposure and could land jobs.

As a result of these efforts, reputed companies started recognizing our students. In 2008, Syntel visited our campus for recruitment. This was a significant milestone and marked the beginning of the strong industry interaction.

Since then, we have continued to strengthen our training programs and industry connections. Our goal is not only to provide education but also to ensure that our students become capable, confident, and employable fresh graduates.

Looking ahead, we are now focusing on emerging technologies and future-ready skills. In the era of digital transformation, knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security is becoming essential. We aim to introduce structured training programs, value-added courses, and industry collaborations in these areas.

We also plan to strengthen our efforts in innovation, research, and employability skill development. By promoting practical learning, internships, and industry interaction, we will prepare our students to meet global challenges with confidence.

We remain committed to bridging the gap between education and employment. With continuous efforts, we aim to empower our students to build successful careers and contribute positively to society.
